Fairport Festival 2024

Following the success of the combined schedule for the Main Field (Fairport); The Brasenose; The Red Lion; The Cream of the Crop; and the Saucy Hound, the Village Hall is producing new version for 2024.  Although most the venues have all declared a line-up, some have yet to do so, and there may be some changes before the actual festival, so check back later for the most up-to-date version.

Fairport Breakfasts

The Village Hall's Famous Fairport Breakfast is known to set festival goers up for the day!

This page provides information on the Famous Fairport Breakfast available at Cropredy Village Hall.  Below you will find a little background, together with information such as opening times and prices.  There is also a section for villagers on how to volunteer to help with the Famous Fairport Breakfast. At the bottom of the page you will find a link to the all the line-ups and times at all the venues at the festival.  Copies of these will be on the breakfast tables at the Village Hall but to save paper, you can take a copy from this page, or photograph the larger printed copy at the Village Hall.

A Little Background:

Cropredy Village Hall has been providing breakfasts to Festival goers for over 20 years.  With the help of well over 50 volunteers and the support of the Fairport Festival Goers, this has allowed the Village Hall to benefit of the local community by keeping rental charges as low as possible, and providing funds to ensure that the Hall is well maintained.

Breakfast

Volunteering:

Providing a full breakfast to festival-goers is a major challenge in terms of catering supplies and equipment but particularly in staffing the many roles required.  Although the whole event is coordinated by the Hall Management Committee, it would not be possible to provide breakfasts without an army of around 60 volunteers (about 10% of the population of the village although some of our volunteers come from further afield including friends or family of villagers).  Some of these are experienced, some are novices, but we'd like to think that all have a really good time.

We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you can spare a few hours on any (all all) of the days listed below, we'd love to hear from you.  Roles that we need to fill involve: BBQing; cooking; serving breakfasts; serving tea & coffee; fetching & carrying; and clearing up.

If you would like to join our amazing team of volunteers, please contact Kate Payne on 01295 758282 or katepayne@rocketmail.com.

Factoid:

We recognise that most festival-goers refer to the festival as 'Cropredy' but this would not make sense to the residents of Cropredy who simply use the term 'Fairport' to cover the entire festival, including the fringe, and of course the Village Hall's Famous Fairport Breakfast.

2024 Venue, Bands and Timings:

Below you will find an image showing the venues, bands and time slots for Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.  We're still waiting for the Cream or the Crop to annouce its line-up, so the table below includes some 'TBA's.  The scheduled will be updated as information becomes available.  Click on the image to see a printable PDF version.  Note that printed versions of this will be available (no charge) at the Village Hall during the festival.
